Review Of Jahan Nostra's Violet Skies: Vocal Range, Unity, and Female Rappers

Review Of Jahan Nostra's Violet Skies: Vocal Range, Unity, and Female Rappers

Jakai and Montana discuss the album cover of Jahan Nostra's Violet Skies. They appreciate the graffiti aspect of it and the way it harkens back to the essence of hip hop. They then move on to discuss the album itself, with Montana being on the younger side of hip hop. They talk about the nine songs, 13 features, and 33 minutes duration of the album. They also discuss the idea of hip hop senior citizens and what age that may refer to.

They both agree that they like the structure and singing of the album, but the delivery of the artist is a bit off. They also agree that the album is made for a live performance, and that the artist's cadence is almost like he is reading the lyrics. They both have their own favorite songs from the album: Bond Number Seven, Fiery Diary, and Picture Frames. The second person also comments on the line from Fiery Diary where the artist says I tried to break bread, you took the wine, Jesus help. They both agree that it is a bit meaningful, and that it resonates with them.
