MJ Samuels Speaking Out Through Music

MJ Samuels is an artist from Hartford, Connecticut, who is trying to change his life for the better. In his rap verse, he talks about the struggles he has been going through and how people act when he asks for help. He also talks about how people act when someone dies, being more ready to write essays about them when they were alive. At the time he wrote his song, he had been living out of his car, indicating the difficult times he was going through.

He was expressing his own thoughts and feelings in the moment in the lyrics, from not knowing where he was going to lay his head at night to speaking up for people who don't have a platform to get their voices heard. He was talking about how he started with a catchy line to draw people in, and then went into the lyrics about his mental state and trying to uplift those around him. Overall, he was reflecting on the emotions and message behind the song, and how it was a form of uniting people and giving them hope.

In a more light hearted tone MJ Samuels admits to drinking Henny, and suggests that a feature on his song should be himself with a high-pitched voice. He then goes on to explaining that he wouldn't want to collaborate with other artists, because of all the extra stuff that may delay the release of the song.
