Connecticut Producers Discuss State's Music Culture

Connecticut Producers Discuss State's Music Culture

In this episode of the Connecticut music culture show, Mr. Montana is joined by Producer Scoops and JayR. to discuss the local music scene. They introduce themselves and their roles in curating the culture. Mr. Montana poses a hot seat question to the guests, asking them to choose two artists from Connecticut to sign to a label.

The conversation then shifts to the Connecticut sound and the type of music artists are making. Producer Scoops and Jr. agree that Connecticut doesn't have a specific sound, which is an advantage as artists are not copying each other and are free to make whatever type of music they want. They also acknowledge the existence of "dumbing out music" in Connecticut, but believe it needs to expand beyond Hartford to reach a wider audience.

The guests give advice to artists on how to make it in the industry, including investing in marketing and not limiting themselves to certain platforms. Overall, the episode showcases the diverse talent in Connecticut's music scene and the crucial role of curators in connecting artists with producers and videographers.
